Reproductive Medicine
Organic presentations with an identifiable failed pathway.
Department Family: Sensory, Reproductive & Genetic Medicine
Erectile dysfunction, hypogonadism, infertility, polycystic ovary syndrome, and endometriosis.
The investigational work concentrates on organic, mechanism-defined presentations — age-related nitrergic erectile dysfunction is the clearest example — where a specific pathway has failed and can be identified on testing, rather than on symptomatic management applied uniformly. Distinguishing a mechanism that can be targeted from a symptom that can only be masked is the diagnostic work this division does first.
